Subscriptions & access
The big picture
A subscription is a recurring checkout listing — monthly, quarterly, or yearly. It does not replace your products. Each course, download, or session stays its own listing; the subscription only controls who can access them.
One subscription, many unlocks
Buyers pay once per billing period and unlock every product you attach — plus a members-only community when you set one up.
Three access modes
- 1
One-time purchase only
Standard checkout — no subscription involved. Set a price and publish.
- 2
One-time + subscription
Buyers can pay once or subscribe. The product page shows both options. Attach it to a live subscription from the product wizard or the subscription edit page.
- 3
Subscription only
No standalone price — storefront shows “Get access via subscription.” Ideal for content bundled inside a membership. Create from Add new → choose subscription access, or from the subscription editor → Add included product.
Attach products to a subscription
- Subscription edit page → Attach existing product — only live, published listings appear. Publish first, then attach.
- Add new from the subscription editor — builds a subscription-only product and links it automatically (can stay draft until you publish the bundle).
- Product wizard → Include in subscription — pick a live subscription while creating or editing a product.
- Draft subscriptions do not appear in the product wizard picker. While a subscription is still draft, attach products from its edit page instead.
Paid community = subscription
A paid community is unlocked by its own subscription — not a separate one-time product. When you set Access to Paid, enter a monthly price and Galleria creates a matching subscription automatically (same name and details). One subscription per paid community.
- Communities → Access → Paid (subscription) → enter price per month — no picker.
- Edit community details here. Edit subscription → for included products; price is under Subscription listing (locked once live).
- Deleting the community cancels all active member subscriptions immediately and moves subscription-only products to drafts.
Detach & drafts
- Detach a dual-access product — it stays live for one-time purchase if it has a price.
- Detach a subscription-only product — it moves to Drafts and is hidden from the shop until you set a standalone price and publish again.
- Unpublish or delete the subscription — subscription-only included products are drafted automatically.
Buyer experience
- Subscription listing page — price per billing period, trial if set, and an Includes list of attached products.
- Dual-access product — Buy now plus “Or get via subscription” with a link to the subscription.
- Subscription-only product — Get access via [Subscription name].
- Active subscriptions — Account → Subscriptions. Community feed unlocks after payment clears.
